WATCHALONG EPISODE - Memphis WrestlingAs we reach the fourth of our year long mission to check out some of the wrestling promotions and territories we don't always get to watch long form, we reach one of the strangest, innovative, if not crazy, wrestling promotions of all time...Memphis Wrestling. A territory that had legitimate horror characters, TV stars, Batman, and all things in between, we decided to check out the peak of Memphis which features Andy Kaufman teaming with the COLOSSUS of DEATH, to go against the Booker and Owner, Jerry Lawler. And we round out by checking out the debut of Ta-Gar Lord of the Volcano in all it's green screen beauty! It is one hell of a watchalong showing off the highest of highs, and well...the lowest of lows of this remarkable territory. It's good to be King, but not so good to watch his mind work, he really should have Called Creative you know!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/better-call-creative-wrestling-podcast--3014789/support.

Episode Seventy Three- Dustin Rhodes RetrospectiveFair few people have had a career like that of Dustin Rhodes. The Son...of a Son of a plumber, he broke into the world of wrestling in a big way, teaming with his father at the Royal Rumble. Going from the WWF, to WCW to win US and Tag Team Gold, only to be fired for blading on PPV TV. Then a return to WWF gave birth to the Bizarre One Goldust...and his path was well and truly his own. Not a clean rise to the top, but a Hall of Fame career nonetheless, this podcast takes us from WWF, through WCW, Attitude WWF, TNA, Japan, and finishing in AEW, its a mammoth 3 hours celebration of the great Dustin Rhodes to mark his birthday! So have a listen, and we hope you'll never forget the name....Better Call Creative!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/better-call-creative-wrestling-podcast--3014789/support.

Episode Seventy Three - Wrestlemania IXIt's Wrestlemania weekend again and as ever the BCCPOD boys are here to check out a wrestlemania from the history books which is considered by many to be one of the worst ever. It's Wrestlemania IX, and they say it's not how you start, it's how you end that matters most. Well this one went off the air like five of the previous eight Wrestlemania's had, with Hulk Hogan holding the WWF Title aloft...only this time, he wasn't even in the WWF Title Match? So how or why did Hulk Hogan pick up the Gold, and why is this considered by many to be the worst Wrestlemania of all time? Is that warranted, or is this a misunderstood gem of wrestling's past? Well there is only one way to find out...It's Caesar's Palace...LAS VEGAS NEVADA.....And You had Better Call Creative!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/better-call-creative-wrestling-podcast--3014789/support.

Episode Seventy 72 - RetributionThe pandemic era of the WWE was a strange one. WWE threw everything out their and some things worked out, we all remember the Fiend, the heel turn for Roman Reigns! Others not so much...we re looking at you Raw Underground...but one thing that peaked interest and quickly faded was Retribution. Only one year ago, we take a short hop back in the time machine to check out why Retribution failed to get off the ground. Was it the booking, the masks, the silly names? We take a deep dive to check out what went so horribly wrong before three very different rebookings on what Retribution could have been! Then we round out the episode with a fantasy card full of Stables and Tag Teams renamed!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/better-call-creative-wrestling-podcast--3014789/support.

Episode Seventy Two - Uncensored 1996Many wrestling fans have debated over the ages, what is the worst Wrestling PPV of all time! We have made a podcast career out of reviewing some of the worst, but after sitting through around 30 so far, we may have actually found the unbeatable monster, the unstoppable force of bad Wrestling PPV's! It's Doomsday alright, it's Uncensored 1996! Hogan featuring Macho Man take on the entire Dungeon of Doom, and WCW Champion Ric Flair and Arn Anderson, in a triple cage Doomsday match, with rules only the most bonkers of wrestling fans will be able to work out! The Alliance to End Hulkamania, may have succeeded as we can safely say Hulk Hogan was never the same after this match! An undercard featuring the longest tag match ever(sic), an intergender match between Medusa and Colonel Robert Parker, and the PPV debut on US soil of Loch Ness...a British Wrestling star from the 70s long past his prime! It can only be considered a bad ppv, but how bad! WATCHALONG EPISODE - Wrestling Society XAs we fly through 2022, we reach number 3 of our monthly watchlong bonus episodes on those companies that may not get the full Better Call Creative treatment. March's offering is Wrestling Society X and specifically it's first episode's main event Rumble Match. Wrestling and MTV were a match made in paradise in the 80s, we all remember how Vince McMahon taped into the cultural revolution of MTV, but the roles were reversed in 2006, as it seemed that MTV were trying to squeeze something out of the Wrestling industry following a huge boom period. It's decision was to trial a 12 episode series of half hour shows, which featured a few quick matches and a live performance...it's outcome was WSX...and well the rest they say is history! Somebody really should have called creative here!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/better-call-creative-wrestling-podcast--3014789/support.
